After three long years, the emotions quickly came flooding back for staunch booer Brett Tucker last night.

Sitting down for a night cap, the 48 year old “couldn’t believe his luck” when he turned on his television to find Ahn Do’s Brush With Fame.

“I was going to watch Survivor Australia – The Block Versus Master Chef, but I recognised the bloke on me telly”.

That “bloke” was none other than former Sydney Swans captain and 2014 Australian of the Year, Adam Goodes, who sat down with popular comedian and artist, Do, to discuss his public stand against racism and the toll it took on him.

“I couldn’t believe me luck” said white collar, white man, Tucker.

“I hadn’t gotten to boo Goodesy properly for years… so it (Brush With Fame) was a real treat. I've almost lost me voice I booed so hard.”

When this reporter asked about what the origin of his, and others, booing towards the four time All Australian was, “The Tuck Truck” admitted he wasn't sure, but was “one hundred percent certain” the reason wasn’t race related.

“I love Eddie Betts, so how could it be (racial)? Goodesy used to play for free kicks… that's what it was. It's un-Australian.”

Something that very much is Australian though, is the right to boo people, Tucker said, and no one's better to boo live than the two time premiership player.

“Me and me mates would occasionally watch his highlights on YouTube and boo, but it wasn’t the same. This Brush With Fame has given me back my life.”
