They say the good things come in threes – Makybe Diva’s Melbourne Cups, Warney’s hat-trick (Cheers Warney if you’re reading) and who could forget the three magical minutes of the Bachelorette I was forced to watch this week (before turning my TV into a hard rubbish item). But this triple treat trumps them all – 3 days of Group 1 racing on the trot featuring no less than 6 G1’s!

In true Sportchamps style, we’re putting you at the centre of the action with our first $100 Mega Racing Tournament featuring a colossal $10k prize pool up for grabs! Top 25% get a payout, 5 bets required to be eligible and maximum of 10 rebuys. You’d be depriving a village somewhere of an idiot if you weren’t getting involved in this one!

MOIR STAKES – FRIDAY @ MOONEE VALLEY

If you haven’t already had a Dan Andrews’ AFL public-holiday-induced skinful by race time, I suggest you tune into this frighteningly good edition of the Moir Stakes headlined by the return of Golden Slipper heroine SHE WILL REIGN. She gets the services of Kerrin McEvoy who could ride a rocking horse to win at the moment and can give this a real shake. RUSSIAN REVOLUTION is rock solid at the top of the market fresh off a dominant Moonee Valley victory last start and can win. SUPER CASH has trialled like she’s ready to explode and could be the knockout hope whilst MALAGUERRA will be out to whip the Gelagotis boys into a frenzy and deliver them another G1.

EPSOM – SATURDAY @ RANDWICK

One of Sydney’s most famous races with an honour roll longer than a cobalt inquiry. HAPPY CLAPPER is the deserved topweight and favourite here after just being mowed down by Winx in the George Main. COMIN’ THROUGH is the lightweight chance sneaking into the race with just 50.5kg and is a live chance while EGG TART is the best of the mares and will have admirers. Patrons are to be advised that anyone considering backing TOM MELBOURNE will be escorted from the premises in a straitjacket and whisked to the nearby Callan Park Hospital for the Insane for further testing.

THE UNDERWOOD – SUNDAY @ CAULFIELD

An intriguing race , the Underwood is always a great guide to the future spring features and this year looks no different. A match race for mine between Winx-dodger HARTNELL and exciting Kiwi mare BONNEVAL in what is set to be the most exciting trans-Tasman battle since Shane Martin Vs Australian Border Security. Hartnell is under more pressure than Ciaron Maher’s lawyer after his Makybe Diva performance, but I think he’ll bounce back here. Minor chance also to G1 winner GAILO CHOP and last year’s winner BLACK HEART BART will run his usual honest race.

Good luck punters! Go Tiges!
